The rooftop in Printemps gives you one of the best views in Paris (in my opinion)! Printemps is a luxury department store, very similar to Galeries Lafayette. They are also right next door to each other, so it is easy to do all of your shopping in one place.
You can access the rooftop through an elevator that takes you to "Le deli-cieux Panoramic Terrace." The rooftop terrace gives you an incredible view of almost all of Paris. You can see the Eiffel Tower, L'Eglise de Madeleine, the Pantheon (the Roman-looking building, which I talk about here), and le Sacre-Coeur, which sits atop the hill and neighbourhood called Montmarte.
The bartender was great to chat with, very friendly, and gave us great wine suggestions. My friend and I shared a bottle and relocated to the outside terrace. They also serve food, bakery treats, and coffee, of course. We came here at the perfect time; just before dusk. I got the see the sky change from a pale blue to a warm pink and purple sky. It gave all of Paris a warm glow.
There is a public section for visitors and if you have a sit-down dinner or drinks on the terrace you can access the view closer to the tower.
This modern Japanese-style French fusion bar and restaurant is a stunning place that is one to remember. A few levels high, Kong is on the 5th and 6th floor of Kenzo fashion house. The decor is unique; lots of glass and windows, and in certain areas, fluorescent lights, and loud in-your-face patterns that leave an impression. The glass walls and ceiling in the dining hall give you a unique view of Paris. The restaurant section overlooks the Louis Vuitton fashion house (and during the day whem the light pours in, La Seine, and Pont Neuf bridge).
My friend and I went for drinks in the dining hall and then went over to the bar section. On Fridays and Saturdays, the restaurant bar turns into a club.
La Tour Montparnasse
At the top of the fancy list, the Montparnasse Tower is the one and only skyscraper in Paris, which gives you a impressively sweeping view of the city.
Dripping a deep, luscious red, heading out to this bar is like stepping into a James Bond movie.
My photo does not even do it justice.
